Integrated Working Programme

Integrated Working is part of the Every Child Matters: Change for Children programme. This programme sets out how services for children and young people should be coordinated and tailored around their needs. We are committed to improving the outcomes for children and young people.

Every Child Matters: Change for Children programme has five outcomes for children and young people, regardless of their background or circumstances, which include:

  • be healthy ;
  • stay safe;
  • enjoy and achieve;
  • make a positive contribution; and
  • achieve economic well-being.

Integrated working gives practitioners a number of tools and processes to improve how they work together, share information appropriately, and deliver services effectively to Children and young people and their families.

Integrated Working practices consist of:

  • The Common Assessment Framework (CAF);
  • Lead Professional;
  • Team Around the Child;
  • Multi-Agency working; and
  • Information Sharing and ContactPoint.
