One Children's Workforce

One Children’s Workforce is the foundation providing support services to Children and young people in England. The children’s workforce is undergoing a reform, to ensure it supports the five Every Child Matters (ECM) outcomes more effectively. There is more emphasis on early identification and prevention with actions required at both national and local levels.

The children’s workforce reform will use the One Children’s Workforce Framework (OCWF) to analyse areas for potential improvement and then focus on developing those areas to improve the ECM outcomes.

The framework provides a description of a workforce that is reformed, integrated and makes the best contribution possible to both ECM outcomes and the Children and Young People's Plan. The framework describes the vision all individuals and organisations working with children and young people within the City of London should be aspiring towards.

Within the framework, we will focus on Integrated Working Practices to provide a better service to children and young people living in the City of London.

Integreated working is designed for practitioners and managers across all agencies in the City of London who work directly or indirectly with children from the ages of 0-19, including unborn babies, and up to 25 years old who have learning difficulties or disabilities.
