The City Together


The City of London’s Local Strategic Partnership

The City Together is a non-executive partnership which brings the key public, private and voluntary sector providers in the City together with representatives from the City’s resident, business, worker and faith communities. The City Together’s role is to generate and pursue a collectively agreed long term vision with strategic objectives for the City which promote the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of the City of London.The City Together also aims to promote and encourage more effective partnership working and is responsible for developing and monitoring the City’s sustainable Community Strategy - The City Together Strategy: The Heart of a World Class City , the Local Area Agreement and the Compact.

Membership and structure

The City Together is governed by an Executive Board of 28 members representing either a partner organisation, the City of London Corporation or one of the City’s communities. The Executive Board is chaired by Stuart Fraser, Chairman of the City of London’s Policy and Resources Committee, and Theo Steel of National Express East Anglia is the Deputy Chairman. A further 20 community groups and service providers have joined The City Together as Associate Members. The Board is supported by seven sub groups which lead on work in specific areas and report back to the Board and a Performance Management Group.
